it’s pretty frightening how one simple observation turns into the need to hear an iggy pop song! and here’s how it all began….

sweetmonimons thinks to her wonderful self, “wow, bunny’s* weave is really bad — it looks like there’s a nest in the back!” (*note: bunny is a dumb girl at work)

which leads me to sing in my head “what’s that on your head? a wig!” (a song by the ever fabulous b-52s.)

then wade comes up and says “hey”, so i respond with (naturally!) “hey, i’m kate and i am a taurus…” and without missing a beat, he finishes the rest of the lyric with me “i looove tomatoes and black capped chickadees” (taken by “song for a future generation” by the b-52s).

WTF?? *you* like the b-52s??? it went on for a bit and we both talked about how kick ass kate pierson is (she’s got the best voice!). and then i reminded him of the amazing song candy by kate & iggy pop…

i know i linked it twice, but i really love this song!!! keep in mind this video is not for the faint of heart — iggy pop’s bare chest is scary!!

it’s been a long time since i last visited the spark..it’s changed considerably, but all the goodness that used to draw me to that site is still there (i.e quizzes & gossip)…who knows what compelled me to go to that site today, but i’m glad i did!
